Donald Sutherland, Jeff Goldblum, Leonard Nimoy, Veronica Cartwright. The reason why I think this movie is so captivating is how real the whole thing seems. It's not about the special effects, but how the people and the world changes, so real, you can almost smell it. The directing is truly amazing. One of best movies ever made.
This movie is actually a remake from an earlier black and white movie, which I haven't seen. Later in '93, this movie was redone yet again, called Body Snatchers. That movie was truly pethetic, and actually one of the worst movies I have ever seen. It complete fails in all aspects, including story line, atmosphere, character building, special effects, and whatever else movies are made up of. If they were trying to appeal to the people that liked the '78 version, then the '93 version is an in-your-face insult.
Donald Sutherland is from Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada, and his son Kiefer Sutherland is from London, Ontario, Canada. It seems most good actors are from Canada, and not the United States of America.
